The Senior Finance Analyst role will support clinical staffing leadership which is expected to lead a high performing organization working collaboratively to drive growth.  This role requires the ability to prepare and review complex financial systems and processes in order to provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis to drive improvement and streamlining to help drive results. This role is directly responsible for leading all elements of the forecasting process which supports the clinical staffing business. The role requires a high degree of professionalism and initiative while collaborating with  a team of clinical Finance professionals and aligning this team to support multiple business units/leaders.

The Senior Finance Analyst is expected to establish him/herself as a strong “trusted advisor  with the Clinical  staffing business and finance leadership by supporting the revenue process, driving the transformation  as well as accelerating margin improvement. The role must be able to balance the financial needs of the business leadership with the financial and fiduciary needs of Advanced Clinical Staffing. As a result the role should have a deep understanding of the efficiencies and growth/profitability drivers across the business and be able to translate them into operational actions while guiding business partners working collaboratively to attain operational KPIs positively impacting the business top line growth, efficiency and margin performance – please note this also means being able to correlate the operational outcomes into financial impact.

Responsibilities

  • Applies current financial and accounting standards, policies and controls, mitigates risk between business unit/functional financial goals & accounting principles and controls. Identifies and prioritizes risks and develops solutions to achieve business objectives while remaining compliant; Sets standards and educates business partners
  • Help drive Clinical staffing operational planning process and subsequent forecasting process by partnering with Clinical and Corporate Financial leadership to establish goals and targets
  • Provides accurate, transparent, and timely financial analysis on Economic/functional/operational P&L's and KPI's to support BU leadership in the decision making process; Clearly articulate financial implications of business decisions to assist in the proactive management of profitability, costs, efficiencies and resources, and provide impact analysis on revenue, costs and metrics; Conducts crucial and challenging conversations to protect profitability and ethics.
  • Proactively provides performance optimization recommendations to the Clinical staffing stakeholders and follows through to deliver timely resolution; Solves for the underlying cause of a problem by asking the right questions and involving the risk stakeholders
  • Leverage relevant and impactful metrics to drive Clinical staffing process, system and financial improvements while mobilizing staff and monitoring performance to ensure quality deliverables
  • Drive organizational process and system improvement opportunities by leading or participating in change initiatives at Clinical /Cross BU level
  • Collaborate with Clinical staffing leadership to identify new / refine existing best practices in Clinical  staffing Financial Management and directly communicate them to key stakeholders across the organization to drive accountability of performance management
  • Monitor key project financial management performance indicators, identify implement areas for improvement, develop solutions and adjust org unit tactics, policies and procedures to improve financial outcomes
  • Evaluates Clinical staffing functional staffing plan and monitors utilization trends in order to optimize delivery model efficiencies at the Clinical staffing level
  • Support Clinical staffing and/or region-level remediation of financial performance at Business Unit/Functional level
  • Drives opportunities to optimize performance at Clinical staffing level through on-going assessment of Operational P&L's, functional cost and KPIs
  • Liaise with Clinical finance leadership to support identification and implementation of opportunities to address customer specific concerns within Clinical portfolio
  • Proactively engage and challenge Clinical staffing to achieve financial and business goals; work closely with them to meet financial goals and influence financially sound decision making
  • Actively monitors and assesses impact of industry, economic and business unit trends in order to drive performance management at the Clinical Staffing Finance/Functional level
  • Coach  project accounting team on financial and organizational processes and systems
  • Participate in formal staff review processes e.g. performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescales

Qualifications

  • Masters ability to listen, interpret, influence, challenge, build relationships, resolve conflict, crisp presentation and discussion facilitation, conflict resolution and negotiation in a matrix structure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, motivate others and lead change with an organization across cultures.
  • Recommend and implement ways to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and modeling especially Adaptive Insights and Netsuite, excel and PowerPoint. Will need to be proficient in preparing Excel based “what if” models and recognizes and addresses issues with data integrity.
  • Entrepreneurial demeanor with demonstrated ability to partner with leadership in driving top line opportunities.
  • Prioritizes risks and develops solutions to achieve business objectives while remaining compliant with financial and accounting standards.
  • Drives for Results - High energy self - starter with a strong drive for results. Proactively identifies and informs stakeholders about opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and profitability. Adapts approach and prioritizes activities as necessary to deal with uncertainty and change.
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to flourish / function in ambiguity and solve problems in such an environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or other quantitative discipline required
  • Advanced degree (MBA)/ CPA preferred


Minimum work Experience:

  • 4-6 years of progressive Finance roles with strong analytical and partnering track record.
  • Clinical Staffing & Clinical experience helpful
