Reporting directly to the Director of PMO, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing stakeholder expectations, communication, developing and adhering to organization/development processes, defining scope, managing budget and executing on timeline commitments. This role entails working with the cross functional teams in managing projects from inception through completion. The incumbent will drive work collaboratively to execute objectives. In collaboration with the leadership and the PMO, the Project Manager will advise and recommend on continuous improvements to the project management methodologies. 

Responsibilities

  • Promote pragmatic infrastructure maturity by championing value-based, risk-managed investments and guided, disciplined execution
  • Develops and manages project objectives, work assignments and schedules to deliver projects on-time and within budget/scope
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving issues, and proactively managing risks/opportunities
  • Manages cross-functional project team to achieve project objectives
  • Manages the suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors on each project
  • Conduct meetings within and across business sites and functions to ensure alignment on specific requirements to create cohesive business solutions
  • Delegate project tasks to team members to leverage individual strengths, skill sets and experiences as well as to provide and encourage growth opportunities
  • Monitor progress, develop project status reports and present to management
  • Monitor and manage project risks and mitigation plans
  • Ensures team members follow all Quality System procedures related to their jobs which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers and that changes to procedures are reviewed, approved and validated prior to implementation
  • Lead projects with overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, status reporting and closure.
  • Develop and implement a software development lifecycle process that is flexible and meets the needs of the business
  • Drives activities to achieve measurable outcomes by managing schedule, resource, scope, deliverables, budget, risk, issue, dependency, vendor relationship and communications.
  • Facilitates the teams daily work including scheduled meetings.
  • Creates a collaborative environment which allows the team and stakeholders to interact closely.
  • Assists with the enhancement of documentation related to process, SOPs, schedule templates, reports, communication plans, etc.
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position, however the incumbent will manage third party project delivery resources/team and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in project management.
  • PMP, PPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required. Agile and Scrum certifications are preferred.
  • Adept at usage of various tools such as SmartSheet, Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience using project portfolio management tools.
  • Smartsheet for project management, executive dashboards, and project communication is preferred.
  • Working experience with Product Owner and Product management.
  • Project management experience with the software development is preferred.
  • Experience with Medical device, pharmaceutical, and life science industries working with technology and product development, clinical research outsourcing (CRO) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CFR 21 Part 11 Compliance is preferred.
