Reporting directly to the VP of Digital Health, the Digital Health Technical Architect will lead the development of technology solutions for the Advanced Clinical business unit. The Technical Architect is a problem solver responsible for evaluating an organization's business needs and defines a high-level enterprise-wide architecture focusing on the mapping of IT capabilities to business need. The focus is on defining the relationships, flows, and implementation of business, applications, data, and technology in the enterprise and the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing clinical trial solutions (CTS) needs.  Additionally, this position will provide positive leadership to develop solutions that will improve candidate, client, operations, and sales team experiences.


  • Design and document end-to-end solutions in close partnership with our CTS team leaders and stakeholders to improve overall technical architecture and business processes
  • Create new architecture models that contribute to the strategic initiatives of Clinical Trial solutions business.
  • Act as a thought leader and evangelist in solutions architecture activities.
  • Provide planning and discipline to ensure that investments in process improvement, information, and technology support the organization's strategic goals, enabling quick responses to change in market conditions and new opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment of technology solutions with business and CTS strategies. Provide leadership and direction for execution team activities.
  • Provides strategic consultancy support to business partners in defining or designing clinical trial processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on requirements.
  • Proactively drives strategic thinking to gain maximum benefit from the system. Innovates solutions to problems having significant and long-term impact. Recognized as expert in solving problems related to multiple areas of specialization.
  • Influences people outside area/cross-functional/sphere of influence. Establishes extensive intradepartmental interactions and initiates interdivisional interactions to develop a network of support both within and outside of organization. Interfaces with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.
  • Thorough knowledge of the CTS business process and environments. Knowledge of requirements and regulations impacting the business. Strong awareness of the clinical trial, medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends. Build and maintain a thorough knowledge base of industry-related technology, industry trends, and general IT best practices. Consult the business on potential means of innovating through technological advancement to create value differentiation.
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure buy-in of systems (function and design) before and during onboarding or development.
  • Own the assessment of potential and current solutions, providing detailed analysis, provide leadership with ongoing support and insight related to talent acquisition budgeting, governance, and management.
  • Solution development will include business requirements workshops, requirements analysis, solution scope and design, resource alignment, proposed delivery source mix, technology stack, UAT, scalability, and management of risks/assumptions.
  • Choosing solutions that improve their company or client's overall technological architecture and business process
  • Communicate the benefits, costs, and risks of projects to stakeholders.


  • Possess experience in digital health and data analytics solutions with a variety of complex technologies (Security, integration with different application, data standardization, streaming ETL, data storage, data warehouse, data analytics and reporting, dashboarding)
  • Knowledge of automation and integration technologies
  • Be a strategic thinker with excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Be highly analytical and numerate with a strong understanding of data flow, data analytics, reporting and dash boards
  • Proven success in building a technology strategy driven by business initiatives and presenting the solution to executives and colleagues
  • Demonstrated success in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven emphasis on user-driven product design and data-driven product refinement
  • Ability to reference specific examples of having led digital transformation projects
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to think creatively and strategically to capitalize on unstructured, ambiguous business situations
  • Be experienced with design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated willingness and passion for working in a hands-on manner with complex technical challenges

  • Highly developed communication skills. Ability to be comfortable working with executives. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in developing enterprise architecture, development, project management, data analysis and management, and business process design and analysis
  • Experience working on Digital Health architecture preferred.
