The Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for partnering with their service line functional leader to support the achievement of its operational and financial goals.  This role requires the ability to review (Corporate maintained) financial data in order to provide comprehensive and in-depth analysis to support their operational reviews.  The role assists in the forecasting and budgeting process for the business unit.   This role requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to accomplish objectives with some supervision.  The role also requires the ability to balance the need to achieve corporate financial targets with directly managing and influencing the unit financials working closely with the business.  Experience in supporting a controlled accounting environment is highly preferable.

  • Ensuring we attain quarterly revenue and margin targets for the business line
  • Ensure we are in compliance with audit controls for the business unit and adhere to all revenue recognition and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Applies current financial and accounting standards, policies and controls, mitigates risk between business (service line) goals & accounting principles and controls
  • Prepares and co-ordinates the monthly close and forecast process
  • Support annual budgeting process and financial forecasting process
  • Provides accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting of functional/operational P&L's and KPI's to support Service Line leadership in the decision-making process utilizing standardized reporting as developed by Corporate FP&A
  • Translates results of analysis on Operational KPI's and Financial P&L's into valuable insights and actionable recommendations for business leader; Supplies ad hoc analysis as requested
  • Maintain, produce and communicate a relevant and impactful set of project and operational metrics designed to support evaluation of financial performance consistent with the Service Line being managed
  • Challenge staffing plans, monitor resource/utilization levels and suggest opportunities to positively impact business line margin 
  • Support process and system improvement opportunities by participating in change initiatives at project level
  • Demonstrated competency in dealing with ambiguity and problem-solving abilities
  • As part of Advanced Group Finance, build rapport with and understand/address needs of functional/business unit leadership
  • Proactively engage and challenge business line or regional functional leadership to achieve financial and business goals; work closely with them to meet financial goals and influence financially sound decision making
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of Advanced Group business, impact of industry trends and partner's priorities and acts as a co-pilot to guide them through financial and business decisions


  • Thrives in a complex, fast-paced and potentially ambiguous environment; Works effectively in a matrix environment
  • Ability to translate financial goals into operational results and to skillfully align business unit requirements with quarterly financial goals
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial performance systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Netsuite)
  • Analytics & Problem Solving: Translates information into valuable insights and actionable recommendations.  Provides recommendations to the right stakeholders and follows through to deliver timely resolution.
  • Financial Acumen & Control: Mitigates risks between business goals and accounting principles and controls.
  • Drives for Results: Develops profitable recommendations, balancing between customer and business needs and profitability.
  • Demonstrate considerable experience in progressive Finance roles with strong analytical and partnering track record
  • Preferably at least 4-7 years previous experience supporting a business partner with ideally exposure to revenue recognition and Staffing / RPO / Solution experience
  • BA in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
