The Travel and Expense Specialist will provide support and review to the Company’s travel programs and expense policies. This position will be responsible for administration of the AMEX program, management and training on the Certify and Concur systems and will review T&E for compliance with Company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the AMEX program, including issuing new cards and reporting monthly on card usage, missing receipts and ensuring that Senior Leadership is aware of company spending that is not using the AMEX card as per policy.
  • Book the monthly travel expenses from the Certify system and monitor expense report approvals, reminding and escalating reports that are either not submitted, not approved or coded incorrectly.
  • Conduct Certify and Concur training as required for new hires, respond to questions from operations as necessary.
  • Monthly reporting on company travel and expenses through Certify.
  • Monitor the new hire equipment policy spending with monthly reporting to the CFO and CPO.
  • Review expenses for compliance with Company policy, noting exceptions to management.
  • Assist the AP team with coding, entering and routing for approvals as needed.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred with a 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong organization skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, follow up, and follow through on tasks with minimal direction.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
  • Eagerness to take initiative and possess ambitions for career advancement.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Experience with Certify
  • Experience with Concur
  • Experience with eRecruit
  • Experience with NetSuite or ERP implementation
