Overview

The Vice President, Digital Marketing is responsible for creating and executing upon progressive marketing and strategies that build each Advanced Group businesses’ brand and revenue/profitability growth. This individual thrives in an environment of strategic doing. He/she will provide executive leadership and management of Advanced Group’s holistic marketing organization and will lead all digital/traditional marketing strategies nationwide. This role will drive each Advanced Group businesses’ efforts to position themselves as a visionary leader in their existing and emerging markets to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares and executes overall marketing and brand strategy and develops programs with quantifiable objectives to drive revenue results.
  • Partners with each business leader to deliver effective initiatives and strategize new features and communications that drive talent and customer acquisition, recruitment strategies, and client/candidate loyalty through our websites.
  • Utilizes critical market research and competitive information to define target markets, build demand generation, provide lead creation and conversion, refine and improve our value proposition, and implement the best market penetration strategy for each of the four Advanced brands.
  • Capitalizes on digital strategies for the targeted, measurable, and interactive marketing of our services to reach and convert leads into customers (and likewise for converting potential recruits into candidates).
  • Harnesses data, business intelligence, and predictive analytics to understand and anticipate customer needs and acts as the catalyst to align the organization.
  • Executes programs and technology to develop customer and candidate intimacy, driving deeper and lasting consumer engagement for both talent and clients.
  • Monitors competitive behavior across multiple digital platforms to identify emerging trends, opportunities and potential threats to defend and grow market share.
  • Grow and lead a team of passionate marketing professionals and effectively manage external partners.
  • Works directly with the COO and executive team to lead and communicate the goals in the strategic and operational plans for each of the Advanced businesses.
  • Shapes all organizational communications, branding and marketing efforts using strategic foresight, creativity, and relationship building.
  • Ensures rigor and discipline across company-wide programs that support integrated marketing models.
  • Collaborates with sales and recruitment management to develop and execute dynamic marketing and campaigns that drive growth in target segments.
  • Develops and measures key metrics around the business including customer acquisition, customer satisfaction, repeat buyer measures, and ROI.
  • Manages all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Strong digital marketing experience including SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, influencer marketing, mobile strategy, social media strategy, content automation, video, and campaign management.
  • Experience with gathering and utilizing customer insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and convert strategy into tactics and actions that drive revenue growth and target market penetration.
  • Ability to partner with each business leader to deliver effective initiatives and strategize new features and communications that drive talent and customer acquisition and loyalty.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, including digital marketing, market research, branding, communications and campaign management, including management of outside vendors providing support in any of these areas.
  • Significant experience working with a variety of digital marketing strategies to create customer intimacy, promote brands and increase sales.
  • Experience working with a variety of traditional marketing and communications tools to support brand building and target messaging.
  • Skilled at bringing technology and social marketing expertise to the organization and a proven track record of using such tools to drive revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to capitalize on emerging insights into customer needs and utilize big data to gain insights into how to align and re-align resources to capture share.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive Advanced to think and act holistically about the company’s overall value proposition.
  • Extensive understanding of the changing marketing and communications landscape.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to lead and inspire a marketing team as well as building strong relationships and trust within all levels of Advanced.
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises the marketing team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent years of business experience.
  • Minimum 15 years well-rounded marketing experience in positions of increased responsibility, with a focus on digital marketing and market expansion, while driving strong revenue growth.
  • Minimum of 5 years of digital marketing and CRM experience including hands-on experience with all digital channels SEO, SEM, social, mobile, and internet marketing.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Individual must be able to effectively communicate both in writing and orally. Must possess the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Individual must be a bright, strategic thinker who has excellent problem solving and organizational skills. They must also possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Individual must be able to travel periodically, as required by the position.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
